Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) Month

Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) Month is a time to highlight and celebrate businesses that are owned by their employees through an Employee Ownership Trust. Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) is now Certified Employee Owned, with more than 30% of the company dedicated to employee ownership.

What is the EOT?

  • The EOT is a trust that operates for the benefit of direct care workers.
  • It is overseen by a board of trustees that understand and support CDCN’s Mission.
  • The trust currently owns roughly 30% of CDCN.
  • The EOT does not mean individual employees own stock in the company. Instead, the Trust itself owns about 30% of the company on behalf of caregivers—to ensure caregivers share in the company’s success.

What does the EOT mean?

Becoming employee-owned through an Employee Ownership Trust supports several key goals:

  • Recognizes caregivers as essential partners by valuing their contributions and including them in the company’s future success.
  • Protects the mission and integrity of care by ensuring that company decisions remain focused on people—our caregivers and the individuals you serve.
  • Secures long-term sustainability through a thoughtful ownership transition that strengthens CDCN in a competitive care landscape.

Employees now have a stake in the company’s future financial success and are a key player in ensuring our company upholds its mission and values.
