Registered Nurse (RN)

The goal of nursing care in the home is to assist the client and family improve quality of life by helping the client become as independent as possible through the maintenance of the highest level of health possible. Home health licensed practical nursing means assisting individuals or groups of individuals to promote, maintain, or restore optimal health throughout the life process by assessing, reporting, and recording their health status; participating in planning; implementing a strategy of care to accomplish defined goals which may include partnership relationships with therapists, social workers, dietitians, registered nurses, and home health aides; and contributing to the evaluation of care and treatment.

Primarily works in the area where hired. Local area travel will be required, occasional longdistance travel may be requested; the person will be required to provide his or her own
transportation. Must have access to a telephone.

How does paid leave accrue?

Attendants/Caregivers accrue one hour of paid leave for every 30 hours worked.

How much paid leave can I earn and use in a year?

Attendants/Caregivers can earn and use up to 48 hours per calendar year.
