Care program offers Veterans in Colorado more choice, control, and flexibility over the services they receive. If you are eligible, a referral will be sent to a local Aging and Disability Network agency, which will provide case management services to you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To be eligible for Veteran Directed Care, Veterans must:\u2028<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>be enrolled in the Veterans Health Administration.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>meet functional eligibility criteria as determined by the VA.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>be competent, willing, and able to supervise, hire\/terminate, train, and monitor their attendants and the services provided.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>be able to act as an employer and direct their own services or appoint someone to direct services on their behalf.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are no age restrictions or service-connected requirements to qualify for Veteran Directed Care.<\/p>\n<p>If the Veteran is unable to self-direct because of a cognitive impairment, the Veteran may designate an authorized representative to act on their behalf.
